About the series.

One Cart Room Design is focused on creating a beautiful home in the easiest, fastest way possible. Sometimes we have to start from scratch, and sometimes we don't have the time (or energy) to dedicate to the process. I mean, who doesn't love driving 2 hours to Ikea, right?

Once your room is functional and pretty, you can casually shop around for the details that showcase your own personality. There's nothing more thrilling than finding a perfectly priced vintage rug. Without the pressure to get “something” in the room, you can actually take the time to do it!

Sharing a similar color palette with the Amazon created dining room and entry way, this living room is neutral with pops of black, and a bit of pattern mixing. Again, I left room to slowly add personality with accessories and color, but the structure is there for a comfortable living room to enjoy without the wait!

Sources

Rug- I really love how well Loloi rugs capture the vibe of perfectly worn vintage rugs. Don’t give up looking for the real deal though!

Curtains- A little pattern mixing, and nobody will know this whole room came from one cart! The windowpane curtains and tribal patterned rug are a perfect team.

Sofa- A perfect neutral, clean lined sofa. It will go with everything!

Chairs- (similar option) Swivel chairs are super popular right now. They allow for a traditional conversational seating arrangement without making TV watching a pain (in the neck).

Side Tables- Simple glass top side tables to keep the space from feeling too heavy.

Table Lamps- Texture and contrast in a fantastic shape.

Coffee Table- Another pop of black with a light rustic wood. Great price, great reviews.

TV stand- Love the rattan doors. This stand plays well with the tables in the room.

Accessories- I wanted to keep the accessories at a minimum. Allow yourself time to collect. If real plants aren’t your cup of tea, the vase w/branches, and potted faux plants, bring in the necessary greenery.

Art- A simple, affordable option in a soothing color palette that works great with the textiles in the room.

I'd love to see this design in action! If you end up purchasing any of my recommendations, please tag @rockyhilldesigns and use #rockyhillhomestyle to show off your style!
