Styling a Gray Sectional
On Instagram last week I asked you all what you happen to be shopping for right now, and what rooms or styling you’d like to see represented in upcoming moodboards. I got a lot of great feedback (thank you!) and this post comes directly from one of those responses. How to style a light gray sectional.
Now, there are multiple ways of styling a light gray sectional (don’t be shocked if you see them in upcoming posts), but today I went for minimalist styling (only 3 pillows instead of 7) in warm/cool color palette. My favorite method of creating a color palette is to pull color from a rug so the first thing I did was look for a one that has the gray of the sectional with warm tones. This rug from McGee and Co is perfect!
Once the palette was set, I went to my favorite pillow source (Etsy, of course!) and found a pillow set in the same gray/cream/tan colors to (again) pull the color up from the rug and onto the sectional. As I mentioned, my goal was a simple and uncomplicated styling process. I love curated pillow collections because they just make it so easy to get color and pattern mixing right.
When styling a sofa or sectional, that would be my biggest tip for you. Look to the colors in your rug, head to your favorite pillow shop, and grab a curated pillow set in those colors! Easy and happy styling!
