Benjamin Moore Whole House Color Palette: A Curated Guide with Mood Boards

Staring at a wall of paint swatches is enough to make anyone second-guess their style. Picking out paint colors is a real struggle. Even the most experienced designers will find themselves staring at paint swatches for hours at a time, just trying to find the perfect paint color.

Browsing Benjamin Moore’s website the other day, I was impressed with the number of helpful tools they’ve set up for the DIY designer (and professional designers, for that matter). What really caught my eye were the Benjamin Moore curated color palettes and I thought it would be fun to take these palettes a step further. In this article I’m showing you exactly how I would use these colors in a whole house plan, with mood boards used as examples for pulling in the color palette with furniture and decor for a cohesive look.

Benjamin Moore’s Classic and Timeless Color Palette

I chose to work with the Benjamin Moore Classic and Timeless whole house color palette for this exercise. I love the different shades of green accenting light and mid-tone neutrals. You can really play with these layers, focusing on the lighter neutrals for an airy space (like the kitchen), or going deeper with the accent colors for a moody one (seen in the dining room and primary bedroom).

Design Note: Cohesive home color palettes are the ultimate size hack. Visually connecting rooms with color will make smaller homes feel larger, and larger homes feel cozier.
